Irene Cioni is a London-based choreographer, movement director and dancer who makes 

simple, yet exquisite; satisfying, fresh and forward thinking’ dance.

Over the last 16 years, she has worked with Silenda Company, Hans Tuerlings, Sara Wookey, TPO Company, Leila Macmillan, Ludo Ludis Contemporary Theatre, Fleur Darkin Company, Secret Cinema, Odin Teatret, Kei Ito, Donna Huddleston, Ursula Mayer,

Young Vic Theatre and Made In China. 

She has toured her own work and the work of others to France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, 

The Netherlands, Argentina, Bahrain, U.S.A., UK and Ireland.

Since 2013, Irene has been an associate artist of Kathryn Hunter and Mia Theil Have’s 

Riotous Company. 

Alongside her creative work, Irene has led many workshops in dance and physical actor’s training internationally renowned venues, including Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival (USA), University of the Arts Buenos Aires, Odin Teatret (DK), and ULITA (CZ).


Irene Cioni trained as a dancer at the Florence Dance Centre and Theatre School of Amsterdam.
